Peripheral products like Motion detector, Touch pure and Actuators are connected to the tree branch via the twisted green / white wire pair.
The power consumption of peripheral products is very low. This is why the twisted orange / white wire pair is ideally suited for the power supply.
Tree products that serve as consumers usually require a power supply that can carry more power. This is for example with lighting products like the LED spots and the LED RGBW dimmers, the case. Especially for these products, the tree cable is equipped with two 1.5mm² orange / white wires in addition to the two twisted wire pairs. This means that there is always enough power to reliably supply Tree consumers.
Avoid errors through clear color coding
All Tree products are consistently equipped with the same color code. The green / white terminals always stand for the Loxone Tree communication and the orange / white terminals for the 24 VDC power supply.
The tree cable also has the same color coding. This avoids errors in the wiring and provides a clear overview at all times when the system is expanded.

Tree technology offers full flexibility when it comes to choosing the topology. The tree extension forms the “trunk” to which up to 50 tree products can be connected per tree branch via the tree cable. The cabling can be designed individually from device to device. Our recommendation: Pull a tree cable from the tree extension into the respective room and distribute it from there to the individual tree components.
